Re: Hiking Kilts
I have heard a lot of thru hikers on the AT that have used kilts, but I can't wrapped into them . I will just stay with my synthetic convertible pants.

Sure would be very airish right now. I couldn't see me in those. I have also read of the thru hikers using them but not me!

I'm totally going for it. It's 75 degrees out here (Tucson) right now so a kilt would be great. Imagine the freedom and breathability!
I'm heading out in a few minutes to the Rincon Mountains for some adventuring, and on the way I have to pick up some energy bars at a local outfitter...
...if they have kilts, so help me, I'm buying one.

I just thought the pictures were hilarious too...Obviously photo-shopped onto some fine outdoor action shots. The guy doesn't look at all excited about being the kilt model. I think I would go for one too, in the summer time...Go out hiking, then to the pub for a pint!

Cmon guys, where's your securedness in your masculinity? Them long steps where your pants say, uh... wait a minute... would be no problem. Got an emergency tarp very handy there..only thing is, I don't wanna shave my legs... so I guess I'm out.
