Trail work on the OT Empty Trail work on the OT

Post by ouachita hiker Thu Apr 24, 2008 7:01 am

Outlaw packer and I will be doing trial work Sat. morning on the OT from the AR/OK line to the FS road, number escapes me at the moment, for 1.5 miles. Will be doing trail clearing, nothing as bad as the Buckeye, and repainting blazes. At least Sat. is looking good this week end.

Trail work on the OT Empty Re: Trail work on the OT

Well we finished our trail work till the fall. Our section of the OT is clear of all obstructions and the blazes have been repainted. Just to let everyone know that the trail is fast growing up. That is weeds and such. I feel like before to long the weeds will take over the trail, at least unless it stops raining, fat chance of that! Mad We are thru with all trail work till fall. Now we hope to get out some week end and just hike for the fun of it. I admit it is now hard to not grab a lopper if we are heading for a trail! I hate briars with a passion, I think I have found my calling in life! Laughing
