Re: Ouachita Trail work Pics
Great pics OH, I hate it when people leave their trash in the middle of nowhere . Then I always and you always and everyone else always, has to pack it out. Oh well enough of my little rant, great work.

OH:
Those are some great pictures. Like PM, I hate to see trash left like that. Another job well done.
Thanks to all,
UL

UL,
That is some beautiful country! We are going to have to get a group together to do some of the OT. I wish that Tuesday hadn't been so misty, the views from Winton mountain would have been fantastic! Janet and I are going to go back some time to hike it and check out the views.

Re: Ouachita Trail work Pics
I just want to thank you Tom for the great pictures and all the help on my section.
For those of you that don't realize how much work this is we had to hike 10 miles and work for about 5 hrs. on this particular day. We were both pretty well exhausted, I did beat him back to the truck, but only by about 10 minutes.

Mark,
The pleasure was all mine! Yes it was hard work but I had a great time and not to mention Janet. She took a lot of pictures of your cabin but we chose not to publish them. Your family has a great place and it is very nice of you to offer the guys the use of it when we have he Primiative Tools Workshop.
By the way janet and I have dubs on the downstairs bedroom!
I am more than willing to help at any time we can work out a time convienent for both of us to go back. One of these days I would like to hike all the way to 71. I can see were that would have to be fast and light with the lack of water.

Re: Ouachita Trail work Pics
Thank you guys so much for the work y'all have done. I really do appreciate it. Hopefully I'll get to go with you soon.
Re: Ouachita Trail work Pics
Kyle,
You might think this is odd but we LOVE doing this stuff! It isn't constant work either! Lots of looking around, taking pics, and yes working. We still need to do some blazing on the OT, brush work in Caney Creek, but we will shut it down soon. Over Spring Break Mark Davis and I are talking about doing some Oklaholma sections of the OT. No tools will be taken!
Looking forward to meeting you at the Mena FS workshop in April.
