Nice pictures Birddog. Do you have a trip report or is it in another post?

Not much of a report, just a few "Sunday after Church Hikes" on and around the OT.
Here are a few more pics in the area near but not on the OT.

More small waterfalls in the area near the OT.

say, Bdog. Where is that pinnacle in the first group? Looks a lot like some of the ones we saw from a little scenic forest road that cuts from hwy 9 over to 7, lake winona area?
I would love to go climb a couple of those.

That is it. You can drive to within 1/4 of the top. Start out on FS 86 from Hollis, go east, to the road just before Forked Mt
Cemetery. It is a steep climb but well worth it and the views are great with Flatside viewable to the east, Nebo and Petit Jean to the North. I always go up this one in very cold weather. Same peak in both pics, one view from the South and also from the North.

Is there any trail off of 86, or just an exploring area?

There are some "unofficial" trails along FS 86, what I mean is that they are not published.
I think that there is a spur from the OT that leads up to Forked Mt, I would have to double check Tim Earnest Book to be sure.
