Anyone been down there lately? I'm wondering if they ever got around to repairing the road.

The road is closed indefinately. The loop around the west side was closed due to ice strom damage a couple of weeks ago. Not sure about now.

The local folk have probably cleared that by now. Guess I'll just have to run up there and see one of these days.

That was one hell of an ice storm. My parents are still without power and don't expect to get it back for another month or so.

They're doing alright. Thanks for the invite. I won't be able to go - got to work on my resume. Neutral

Hey, zen:
Since you and lew are looking at some time off, it might be an awesome time to do a thru-hike of the AT or PCT together.
Just a thought,

I like that idea. Unfortunately, I think our wives have different plans for us.

The road in from Ben Hur, or the north side, has been opened of ice debris. I don't know about cleared but there is a driveable lane at least. You may have to drive over some stuff and may not be the best thing for that showroom finish....scratches. With few to 0 houses on some of theses stretches they were not on the high priority list.

The slide area has not been cleared. You still can not get thru from the Falling Water area.
