Summer Get together?

I'm a twit, but that day is my better half's birthday. I can't believe I didn't think of that before.

I agree that we need to go ahead and set a date though. The sooner we set a date the better. The 28th probably won't work for me, but if that works for all of you guys, then go for it! I'll make it to the next one!

Well guys I hope you enjoy your summer. For the next three weeks I will be in summer school
at UAM in Monticello. Will be very intense work. After that I will have a three hour online class
and that will finish my hours for my Graduate degree in Masters of Education. I will be glad to be

Really and truely... anytime will work for me. I am very open. Also I need to begin a list of the BBQ and what not. How many I am going to be feeding. Since I am not looking for more than 10 I am thinking about a 10pk of BBQ rather than a whole butt, Maybe a couple of slab of Ribs and a half Chicken, qt of Slaw and couple of qt of beans. Shold feed about 15 so if we have the 9 that signed the poll and half of that bring a sig. other we would be at around 15. Now that I am thinking of it... just to make sure we have enough with a little left over.... 12pk of BBQ 3 Slab of Ribs and a Half Chicken with a qt of slaw and 2 qt of beans.. How does that sound?

I am also glad that you mentioned about the significant others coming. Certainly, anyone who wants to bring their spouse, girlfriend, or both ( ), please feel free. Lew & I have talked about pitching a large tarp to provide extra shade and I've got two large tables to use as picnic tables, so we're set.
What each person will need to bring is a lawn chair and whatever they want to drink.
If 3:00 in the afternoon sounds good for everyone, we could go ahead and plan on that.
If everyone uses google maps, you can enter my address (4640 Renfrow St., Conway, Arkansas) and get directions. If you need me to send you directions, just PM me and I'll get those to you.

Anytime after 12:00 would be perfect for me, so 3 is fine with me. I am also free on the 28th, so that works as well. I will be bringing my wife (I asked her if I could bring my girlfriend too, but she said no ), so put us down for two.

On a side note, I don't think it is fair for just a couple of people to take up the tab for this whole shebang. I am willing to pitch in some money for my meals to help out, or bring a desert and some drinks, or whatever everyone deems appropriate (my wife makes killer chocolate oatmeal cookies!). We should all pitch in a little! Just let me know!

I agree that everyone should pitch in. Eddie can find out how much the BBQ will cost and we can divide that by the number of people. As far as the corn, that ain't but a couple of $$, so don't worry about that. If someone wants to bring a dessert or two, bring it on.
I'm just sorry that your girlfriend won't be joining us.LOL!!

I talked to snow the other day and he said that he was having trouble logging on for some reason. Doesn't look like he has gotten it fixed yet.

Ok.. just placed the order for the food. After talking with them, I got a 12pk of BBQ, this includes meat, buns, beans and slaw. 3 slabs of dry ribs with extra sauce to make them wet if anyone wants wet. and a whole chicken. and a partridge in a pear tree... hahahahah.. just kidding.. maybe... I will pick it up and deliver. I will let you guys worry about dessert.. lol. They said this should feed about 20 people so if there are any change in head count I can up the amounts. I had no idea it would be that cheap either... lets just say that I do not require any compensation for the food. Just a great get together... lol. Uh.. who is bringing drinks... soda and or tea would be great. I will get the food if someone else does the drinks and someone will do cake or cookies like someone commented.. mmmm vitaman C.. for cookie :-D.

I will definately be bringing some cookies, and a couple of gallons of sweet tea from Tops BBQ. They have the BEST sweet tea around Memphis.

HELL we all should bring a tent and camp out in ULs backyard hahhahaha.. I can hear the dispatch now at the police station.. er yea Earl that would be a 10-4, I got a whole mess of em in the yard... Looks like Ringing Brothers has moved in.. hahahahahaha.
