It sound like we have some pickers among the hikers or as Jay puts it "hickers". Maurine and I always bring the guitars when we are out in the woods. How about jamming on Green Grass and High Tides.

Oh yeah, I play. I don't currently have a good camp guitar though. I'm not carrying my Fender 12-string on the trail.

Do ya'll have backpack guitars>

I plat lead guitar on my strat. Lots of blues

We don't have backpack guitars, but I've had my eye on a baby Taylor lately. We do more day hiking, kayaking and canoe camping than backpacking. My camp guitar is a $100 Johnson with electric strings so I can play lead without killing my fingers. I also carry an Ibanez with acoustic strings when I need some volume. 12 string guitars sound great!
