Hikers and Pickers
It sound like we have some pickers among the hikers or as Jay puts it "hickers". Maurine and I always bring the guitars when we are out in the woods. How about jamming on Green Grass and High Tides.

Now you're talkin'. One of my favorite songs. Don't hear that kind of Southern Rock anymore.

Oh yeah, I play. I don't currently have a good camp guitar though. I'm not carrying my Fender 12-string on the trail.

We don't have backpack guitars, but I've had my eye on a baby Taylor lately. We do more day hiking, kayaking and canoe camping than backpacking. My camp guitar is a $100 Johnson with electric strings so I can play lead without killing my fingers. I also carry an Ibanez with acoustic strings when I need some volume. 12 string guitars sound great!
