If you are doing weights everyday then I'll say ease in to the powder. I'm no expert and have gained most of my knowledge from the "Body for Life" book and program. Although I'm not a body builder, more looking to keep tone. In a nut shell, he says to build muscle you have to feed your body protein. You do need to stress the muscles during workout. Do your homework and good luck.

If you are under 18, you should be careful about any type of supplementation. Your body is already producing all sort of chemicals to help you grow and develop, and if you start messing around with those processes (which can, in fact, be as simple as eating more protein than you need) you can cause things to happen that might impede your fitness goals. It could also give you other, long term, results that could negatively affect you for years.
All that being said; if you are doing reasonable, healthy resistance training, supplementing some extra protein should be okay. Protein is the building block of human musculature, so it takes simple math to tell us that a little extra protein helps muscle development.
Your best bet is try and get as much protein as possible by eating the right foods, such as lean meats, and only supplement as needed.
USE CAUTION when selecting a protein powder, because many of them on the market today contain "other" supplements (such as creatine or nitric oxide) and I would not recommend these supplements until you are older and have been training for a some time.
Hope this helps. And welcome to the site.
