youngun pack
I could use a pack for my son. I find few real ones.. only where I can order one or not well made. As most stuff for an eleven year old.. he will prolly outgrow it in a year or 2. Any out there you wanna let go ......or let us use for a season?

My neighbor really likes his old external frame pack. It grew with him very well, and he actually only outgrew it because he reduced his pack weight. You can usually find external frames cheap on ebay or at garage sales.

Yeah I was going to suggest that as well Clif. Also some of the better book bags have gotten nicer. Especially if your thinking he will outgrow it in a season or two. I know the local Sports Authority had some nice North Face bags for $50 or less. Time for all the new stuff to come out.

ebay packs often tote a 15 to 30 buck ship charge. I started watching there also.
Don't figure I will weigh him down but let him carry some water and his own sleep bag and some of his personal stuff.

Yeah thats what I figured.. Sounds more like a day type bag to me. I believe I would look at wally world to see if they had anything to fit him first. Also check out the flea markets.. I have seen brand new stuff with price tags still on it for for just a few dollars.

Some wworlds would have more selection.. but local had no belts and were too large. I want a belt and real adjustable straps. If it hurts to carry it... even light, he is not gonna want to.

You can always sew a new belt on Clif. Its not that difficult of a thing to do actually. Not bad to make a padded belt as well.
