I wanted to share my experience while bushwacking this past weakend. This was actualy on the trail itself. I could see this in the distance on top of a ridge so I took off up the ridge to see what it was. About a mile or so later this is what I was rewarded with. I also found a the trail up there.

Tom made a reference to stone hinge in one of his picture descriptions and this made me think of that.

Ed,

It is amazing what you can find on these trails! We found some neat things right here close to the campground. When hiking up a creek, lopped us a trail as we went till we couldn't go any further. Then went up the side of the montain. Found a spring coming down the slope, came out in a open area that we had been before. Next time we will go further up. From the top of these ridges you can see the mountains of the ERL and Caney Creek area.
