looks and sounds great.
Have you thought of cafepress.com?
I have only heard of them, never used them.

Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
I've checked them out, and I may end up using them anyway, but they only seem to have cotton t's. I was hoping to find materials like nylon or poly or something, but the cost may be prohibitive anyway, so we may just end up going with some cotton t's for now.
Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
Jay.. check with them first but I have used them in the past and the Text usually does not reproduce well and you can almost forget the shadows... but your design is nice. But I think it may be a bit busy to produce on most of the t's I have seen. Might clean it up and simplify it to no shaddows and the text that you do keep you may have to make larger and bolder, in my honest opinion. Also some of the shirts that cafepress uses embrodry and it looks nicer but its murder on the text. I had quite a few done a few years back and as long as it was a image that was clean it turned out very nice. FYI. lol

Jay,
The design looks great. If you might be interested I can give you a list of t-shirt companies that I have used
in the past for my band t-shirts. I am at present using a company out of Marion, that is if my memory is
still correct.

Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
I've got a buddy who does this stuff in russellville (sp?) and he might be able to give us a deal.
Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
Thanks for the heads up on that Eddie. I'm going to check with some local folks before I do anything anyway.
Whatever I end up doing, I want them to be nice shirts, so they will undoubtedly cost a few bucks more, but I want to do them up right.
We'll see what we come up with.
Tom,
Please send that list my way when you can. I'm looking for someone that can handle the text and shadows and such, as Eddie was discussing. If any of your guys in particular can handle that, please let me know sir. How's the knee doin, by the way?

Wilky,
What I'm wondering is, regarding what Eddie mentioned, if the design is too intricate for most screen printers. I may have to simplify it if a pro thinks it will come out muddy. Do you think your buddy could answer that?

Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
yeah, he and his dad have done this for years. If you haven't emailed it to me yet, do that and I'll get his opinion on it.
Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
I emailed it to you. I had to email it twice because I always leave out that extra "L" in your name...
Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
Wow, for once we are all on at the same time . I would like a synthetic shirt as well. Nylon or Polyester are great to hike in.

Jay:
I really like the design. I'll take a couple, hopefully on nylon or poly, but on cotton, if nothing else.

Jay,
Sorry I missed you guys last night. The fellow that I am using is Wally Fower, I think he is in Marion.
Email is musitoods@comcast.net He has always done a great job with the graphics. He had quite
a display at our convention at Ft. Smith last week. The other ones I will have to look up at scool.
I won't be there till tonight. We are in our insearvice week and I will be in Dequeen all day today.

If you mean Wally Fowler, I have known him most of my life. Great guy.
Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
Yep the same guy. In fact I need to give him my groups sizes today and get my order going.

Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
I think we're going to need to go with ya'll's friend Wally. My buddy doesn't think he can get the shadows to look very good on the lettering.
Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
It sounds like I might have to mellow out that design a little bit. I'll see when I can get to it.
Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
I talked to my sister-in-law who works at a graphics art design place in Memphis over the weekend and have sent her a copy of the logo. I am waiting on her to get back to me as to the cost, etc. Will let you guys know what their bid is so that we have something to compare it with when talking to other businesses.

Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
OK, guys. I've got a quote for the shirts. The quote is based on an order of 50 shirts. The link to the artwork is below. For some reason, I couldn't get the picture to load.
https://i.servimg.com/u/f30/12/30/05/00/arkans10.jpg
The cost for an order of 50 short sleeve moisture wick (nylon) shirts, with the logo on the front left (where a pocket would be) and a large version of the logo centered on the back, is $20.64 per shirt.
The cost of long sleeve shirts with the same logo setup would be $23.64 per shirt. These are also moisture wick shirts.
I failed to ask if we could mix both long and short sleeve, but I'm sure that we could.
The shirts come in a variety of colors, which I'm waiting on an email to confirm the colors, but it's basically black, navy blue, red, green, white, etc.
I told them that it may take a few weeks to put together an order and they said no problem. They can also put the logo on caps if you would like, but I don't have a price for them.
Let me know what you guys think. If nothing else, this will give us a price to compare any other quotes to that we get.

Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
UL, you are my hero man! Thanks for getting this. They toned down the logo just right. I think it looks good. And I don't think that's a bad price for the shirts.
Is 50 the minimum order size? Or do they just increase the price for smaller orders?

Re: Arkansas Backcountry T-shirt Graphic
I will check on the price per shirt for smaller orders when I get the email regarding the colors. They said it might be a few days before I get that reply.
I'm sure the price per shirt will increase as the order number decreases, but we'll see.
