Hey Jim, welcome to the site. Glad to have an UL on here. Love to read y'all's pack lists and dream. The "hicker" that you're seeing is just a ranking that Jay has assigned according to posts.

"Hicker" is a slang description for someone who is new to the trail, or new to hiking/BPing in general. It's a term I picked up from a trekker friend of mine a long time ago.

Everyone here is a hicker when they first show up, but after 10 posts you get upgraded to a Day Hiker! cheers
