Just to let everyone know it looks like the old knee is doing great! Janet and I got out and worked
in the Caney Creek Wilderness on the trails today and the knee great. We cut back loads
of briars and brush. Esp. tough was Blaylock Gap. This is the first rise/saddle that you
encounter on the Caney Trail coming from the East. It has been more of a jungle instead
of a trail for years. Well that is done with! All is clear. We then hiked back out and
went up to check out the Buckeye trail. There was a large tree across the trail that
I remembered from my trip back in April. Between the two of us we got most of it cut.
I hope, later in the week to go up with the one man crosscut saw to completely clear
the trail. As of now it is completely clear on the Left going up the trail.

Was a great day to be out!

Hey OH, just interested....did you encounter any deer hunters or hear any gunshots while you were out?

Hey Tom, I am glad that you and Janet made it out today. Sorry that I didn't make it up there but I had a buisy staurday. I also woke up last night with leg cramps so I decided to take it easy today. Good job on the trail work.

Ed,

It all worked out well. The only place that I could have used you for sure was cutting at that tree!
Janet and I got it completely cleared on the left side. I plan on going back with the one man cross-
cut saw and completely clearing it. The trail from the E. trailhead should be clear sailing all the way to the falls
now!
