I took the wife and 5 yr. old son so we did Lost Valley instead. Hin H is to strenuous of a hike to bring the family. I plan on going back down on the 26th and 27th to take a tour and photograph all the local waterfalls. I can't post my pictures on here for some reason but you can check them out on beyondtheface.com under the photo journal page.

Hey Craig, I stole this from your site!

If you want to post pics from your site, just right click on the picture on your site, click Properties, then copy the Address(URL).

Then, when you go to post it here, click the Image button (the button that looks like a polaroid photo) and paste the Address in there and hit OK.

PM me if you have trouble with it!

Hemmed-In Hallow Empty Just similar

Post by willky1 Fri May 02, 2008 4:25 pm

I wasn't saying it was Bumper Falls, it just looks like it. Strangely, I have hiked all over AR, but never been to HIH. But I did go to bumper falls a couple of weeks ago and it looked a lot like the second pic you posted. Haha hope this clears my comments up a little better. sorry.

Where is bumper falls, if it looks like h-i-h I'd like to check it out. H-I-H is well worth the trip, it is the largest in mid-US

Hemmed-In Hallow Empty Bumper

Post by willky1 Fri May 02, 2008 5:00 pm

It is in Tim Erst's waterfalls book. I don't have it with me right now, but when I get home I'll check it out. Also, I have no ties to Tim, but if you don't have his book, getting it would be an awesome investment. Getting to the falls is a little bit of a bushwhack. You hike right to the edge (top) of the waterfall, but getting to the small pool at the bottom is another story. You can either go left and walk around the gourge and climb down a small creek and walk up the larger one (still a pretty small creek) till you get to the fall, or you can go right and walk down a pretty steep slope. Either way, you can make a day of it and come back with a ton of awesome Pictures!
