Just to let everyone know that some students from OBU did some trail work on the Buckeye Trail this past Sat.
The only thing is I don't know what they got done or how far they went. I welcome there involvement on keeping
the trails up. Sharon at the FS office in Mena said that it was a one time thing. I HOPE to get back up there soon
and do some more work. Also she told me that a really large group of scouts was supposed to do some work on
the Tall Peak trail. If you hike the Buckeye or any of the area trail I and others would appreciate a report on the
trail conditions.

When I was there Saturday they were just about 30 minutes in and they had loppers and bow saws. We were moving thru so I don't know what they accomplished.
There were quite a few spots that just needed some spring growth trimmed back, so hopefully they took care of that. The trail is not in bad shape overall, but there are a lot of roots and loose rocks that will always make it somewhat challenging.
I had a group of 11 and we took our time and ate lunch and took pictures and were still at the falls by 2:30.
