Under quilt.
How do you attach the under quilt to the hammock on a DIY set up?

I have been investigating the use of under quilts and each is made differently, most seem to have some
type of shock cord attachment but some don't.

That is the #1 site when it comes to hammocks. I have studied many aspects of hammock suspension
systems and have completely changed out my to HH suspension systems to whopie slings and am glad I did.

7/64" and I love it! I have a HH and it was a simple change over. This stuff doesn't stretch either.
Light weight and really reduces the bulk. I have to still use tree huggers but that isn't any problem.

I have a torso length UQ that has channels along the sides. One piece of shockcord ir ran through them and then tied in a knot. Carabiners are clipped on both ends and attached to the suspension ropes of the hammock. I really crank the shockcord tight. I can then slide the UQ up and down the hammock to where I want it.
I've tried a partial length UQ that has the shockcord attached at all four corners nad found it to hard to adjust and loose fitting. A full length UQ is a different matter.

I attach mine the same way that Coldspring does hi, and has worked great for me these past 3 years. Easy Breazy Have Fun.
Re: Under quilt.
Sounds good but now I need to figure out the channels and the shock cords. I really need to attend a clinic. I guess I have a while before I will need an under quilt. I will work on the other parts of hammock sleeping until it is cold again.

The route in from the Hill Cemetery is not too bad - just a few downed trees to go around, but folks have been going around them for more than a year now so it is pretty easy. Coming up from the campground is more scenic, but longer because you will have to stop and look around a lot more!
