Yes the trail is on lake ouachita. It is easy but it is a lot of fun. It has alot of very nice views of the lake ouachita. We were going to go to winding stairs but my wife was nervous about deer hunters so we went to the state park where there is no deer hunting alowed. I think that I have a new hiking partner. I can't wait to take her to winding stairs, She is gonna freak.

That is great that you have your wife hiking with you! I started Janet in Caney creek and Katey creek area and she is like me she loves it now!
