Yea i Know this is kinda late to start, BUT I am leaving on Oct 8th for a 5 day backpacking trip. It is only about 30 miles but it is Eagle Rock Loop so I will have some good hiils.

I was just wondering if anyone had a good 7 day work out routine that may help my legs and cardio before I go.

There is a State Prk near me. It has a forest trail that goes up a pretty steep hill. I put water in 5 plastic jugs, put them in my pack and went up the hill at least twice a day before I tried Eagle Rock Loop. Those 6 peaks still kick my butt but I am 59. My grandson(14) waited for me at the top of each. If you are the age to have scout age children you should not have much trouble.

J.. I have found that simply walking with extra weight is not enough. You still need some core strengthening exercises. Ab crunches, situps, hyper extensions, anything to work the core. I find that simply adding weight does nothing for me. Also work on calf an hamstring as well as lower back. I also end up running a few miles every other day for the endurance help.
