new perspective
HERE are some pics.
We re established that we would much rather hang in the woods than cities. A day in Seattle was plenty. Going on the idea I may never get over there again we tried to hit everything we wanted to see. Had to skip a few. Some ocean walks at low tide were great.
I have to get back to the "real" mts and do some hiking. Next trip i say no to the airplane and bring camp and hike gear. Life is flying by and I got so much more i wanna do. PArt of me hated going there and not boating and only short hikes.

Glad to see you're having fun. I'm like you. A day in the big city is enough.
Hope you guys continue to have fun.

A thunderstorm from 20 sumthin thousand feet up. First look at some real glaciers and the effects of some in the past. Visit the Pacific coast and the Straits between US and Canada. Up on the Olympic, Cascade to the Rocky Mts. The desert between. Our world is awesome. As is the Lord that made it.
So much I just drove by. Maybe this woke my mid life crisis. The power. The majesty. I wanna see, experience, more of it. As I told a friend, some things on the "I would like to" list are moving up in priority.

Re: new perspective
I wouldn't mind living in a city for a few months. Right in the middle of a BIG city. I want to experience buses, trains, cabs, firetrucks, sidewalk vendors, highrises, apartment buildings, walking on sidewalks w/o being stared at, women over 30 w/o children that aren't heavy, all that kind of stuff.
I've spent most of my life in the rural Ozarks. In fact, I haven't even left the Ozark region for several years.
