Carbon Fiber Trekking Poles On Sale!
For those of you who are looking for a set of ultralight trekking poles, you might want to check this link out.

These are fixed-length poles, but they weigh only about 3.5 oz each. I've got a set and really like them. They are very durable considering their weight.
Just thought I'd pass this along.

Re: Carbon Fiber Trekking Poles On Sale!
I just keep thinking I'd break them, I hope they keep them priced that low for a while, I might give in eventually. I've always wondered if there was anything more special about the BPL Stix or Gossamer Gear poles than what you find in a golf club shaft.
I haven't even got my new pair of flick lock, $13 each, 9 oz, Wal-Mart, Outdoor Products poles "broke in" yet. They have exceeded my expectations, so far.

Re: Carbon Fiber Trekking Poles On Sale!
I have 1 swiss gear model. Bought it off the clearance rack at wally world for $5. thought it would work for me to decide if I need some or not.....I do. The only time it has come loose it only started slipping. Not a collapse in a critical moment or anything. Both my 4 year old and I were using it on a pretty steep 800 foot climb. I would put in front of him to grab and take a step, then I would make a step. Bushwakin trip last winter.
After using just 1, I am like how did I do without this. That's it in my pic over there. $60 tho????
(and I don't get the PM/TM exchange) Should I guess?

I had Testicular Cancer 3 years ago, hence, She might take the other one
I paid $60 for my USED Leki Super Makalu's, and they are not Carbon either. I Love them, and are worth every cent
