Great maps. It also explains how the couple from Louisianna missed the turn at the Upper LM Trailhead and continued north across the road and wound up lost.
Thanks again for the link,

Nice! Wonder if they've put out other maps of Arkansas' trails? Might have to check this out.
Re: Not a bad free map
I just printed the maps and am going to take to the school and have them laminated. Should work pretty well.

Re: Not a bad free map
Anyone know of any GPX or LOC files that may be available for this trip? I have tryed googleing them and cant really find anything. There is a google earth file out there but I am not aware of anyway to convert that to a gps file.

I even started to cross the river at that same point, especially when I saw the Mississippi Boys over there breaking camp. I asked them if there was a dry crossing and they said I was actually on the trail and didn't need to cross. Guess they had already left when the LA couple came through?
It was pretty cool - four plus groups (Razerbacks, Mississippi Boys, LA Couple, Wet Texan - lol) intertwining paths along the the same trail. I guess we all mentioned one another to the other at one point in time...
Nice map, I saved it in my ERL folder. I do have a waterproof one from http://www.ouachitamaps.com/index.html that served me well. And I had download the same gps file that TrailMonkey found for my Jan. trip. Can't have enough mapping data - that's my motto!
