Caney Creek Trail
Fun Day
With ED and Ouachita Hiker
1/25/07
Ed pondering the work to be done
Ed working with his bow saw
Tree top is cleared
Taking a much deserved break
Ouachita Hiker maning the saw
Man that was a big tree!
Almost clear, should we stop? Nope!
Trail is cleared!!
HIPPIES KEEP OUT!
Well they did!
Carving on a old Holly Tree, 60's or 70's??
Caney Creek
Old Blaze, trail is no longer blazed
Who did this?
Anne and Duane 1977, were are you now?
My thanks to ED, he is a hard worker and a great guy to hike with!!

Re: Caney Creek Trail Fun Day (as in manual labor)
Tom your camera makes those trees look smaller than they realy were.
I do not use work and fun in the same sentence, but I did have alot of fun. Besides Jay outlawed the W word on this forum. Maybe we need to call it trail maintenance!
OH YEAH, could I get Janet's chilli recipe? Tell her that was some very very good chili.
Thanks

Ed,
Well you will have to come back this way and talk with her about that recipe! As far as cameras, we have a better one but she
won't let me take it out! She handles it and normaly takes all of the pics. Not to bad huh?

I wasn't talking bad about your camera, I think all cameras do that.

Well with all of this ice I am sure we will have a lot more to do in Caney Creek. I just hope this stuff doesn't bring down any more trees.

Great stuff you guys! Thanks for doing the "W" word out there!
That's a beautiful area, and I'm glad to know some folks are taking good care of it.

Jay,
It really was fun! I had a great time with Eddy. I would recomend Eddy to anybody for a great hiking parter, of course they will have to wait since we have our on hiking plans!
