Team A Name?

Ok, guys. Put your thinking caps on and lets come up with a name for Team A.
Can't think of one right now, but will keep trying.

You mean other than "The A Team"? I thought that was kinda funny, but yeah we can do better than that. I'll be thinking.

The wild bunch
The All Natural Wild Bunch (thats a mouth full)
The Big Foot Trekers
The Mismatched Trekers
The Ouachita Mountain Trekers

So far, I like Ridge Walkers the best.

I think Bostonmtnman just named our team on another thread! He called us the Intrepid Explorers on our ERL trip report. I think we should use his creativity and use that name. What do you all think?

You bet you are.. I have been wondering how Jay was going to handle late arrivals.. I guess we will see. We would probably need the Trail Stompers to pick someone up to get you...

I'm glad this came up. If anyone not currently in the challenge wants to be, I'll put you in a "holding area" and we'll keep track of your mileage until another person joins and we can distribute the two people evenly (one to each team). Whichever team is behind gets the person with the most mileage. This will keep the teams the same size and might help keep it a close battle.

Does anyone see a reason not to do it this way?

it might make it easier if we only count mileage after they get put on a team. Don't know, I just could see us running into some problems with adding someone in say Sept, and trying to remember their miles for the year. Just my thoughts.

I'm kinda with you on this one. If we add people to the team, that's great. But to keep things equal, I feel that they should not bring mileage with them, even though I would love to have bostonmtnman on our team along with his miles.

I do like the idea of keeping it as simple as possible.
