Where the heck is everybody?

I guess it's just that time of year when everyone is busy with summertime activities, huh?

I've been checking periodically, but work it killing me right now. I'm sure there will be more as the season gets closer and it starts to cool off. Everyone will catch the bug again.

Guess with the heat there isn't much to talk about. Like Wilkey I have checked in often but not much happening.
Well the chance for rain is going up tomorrow. Maybe we will all get wet!

Also untill recently I have been tied up with college classes. Both on campus (UAM) then a online class that
all but ate my lunch! But that is finished except for my comps.

I'm here.. heck thats GOT to count for something... lol. Anyone heard from Colt? Can see he has not signed on in a while. May try to call him tommorow to check on him. lol

I'm still here. I was going to post a trip report about my through hike from the living room to the kitchen fridge to get a beer, but it was a grueling death march and I've just been too tired to write.

I am here. We have actually done a little camping lately and helped the scouts on a float trip in NW Ar. We have really enjoyed Mt. Magazine this summer and their wonderful camp ground for car camping. We will be camping next week for the big meteor shower in a really dark part of Searcy county by Wit Springs. And now that the scouts have started back up we will be camping with them at least once a month. That's it from here...Figg

I have been checking in throughout the days, but do not have anything to add really, other than my wife making tarps and hammocks for the clinic a week from Saturday. I was gonna do the Butterfield with my sons, but it was too hot to take my 4 year old son with me. I didn't want him to burn out on hiking by haveing a bad experience.

Oh I hope they have T Shirts.. cause even if the day sucks the tshirts has got to be cool as hell.. hahahahahaha Oh almost forgot... FYI I tried to call Colt twice today... both times it went straight to voicemail. Now I am worried. I have no idea whats going on with him. Guess we all should say a little something for him in our nightly prayers or what ever it is you do.

She is making a few simple hammocks and some of her tarps. Her 8X10 sil cat tarp is $100, and her 10X12 Sil cat tarp is 125. Her hammocks she will sell for $30. I do not know how many she will have ready, I have to order a little more webbing for the hammocks. We are excited about going to Toad Suck park though. Can't wait to meet everyone.

What is a Cat Tarp?

I thought it was a tarp that housed my cat. But I have been wrong before. Either that or a tarp that can be used to tie up my cat and throw the damn thing in the river.. Again I have been known to be wrong.

Wow, you all do need a tarp clinic. A Cat tarp is short for Catenary Cut Tarp. What this means is that there are curved (Catenary) cuts in the tarp between the tieouts. This allows for the tarp to get taught. A lot of tarp users complain about their recatangle tarps flapping in the wind. The cat tarps cut down on the flapping. I hope that this helps, if not I will explain more on Saturday.

I wish those things cut grass , I would never have to mow, just put my 2 boys out there and tell them to have fun. That was a pic of a 8X10 Cat tarp, except all her tarps are now black.
