Rain Gear Empty Rain Gear

With all the rain lately, I was curious as to what you use as far as rain gear. I use an ultralight poncho. Its silnylon, size is 58"x84", and weighs 6.5 oz. I really like this poncho because not only will it keep me dry, but it will also keep my pack dry while hiking. Very Happy Very Happy

Rain Gear Empty Rain Gear

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I have more gear than I care to talk about (espically on this topic), because it only magnifies how bad I am with my money. However, to answer you question UL, I also use a silnylon poncho. I don't know how much it weighs, but it is by far the lightest rain gear I have. I have heard of people using other things like a tyvek suit, a home made cuban fiber rain suit, and a trash bag. I love the poncho, because it has many uses (rain gear, shelter, pack cover, etc.). Anyway, this is my two cents.
