BRT and pets Empty BRT and pets

Post by cbarberxx Mon Feb 07, 2011 12:02 pm

I have hiked a lot of the OHT and canoed the Buffalo River with my trusty labrador and have seen others with pets in the BRT area. I'm in the process of planning a BRT thru hike in March and noticed in Ernst's book that dogs on a leash are not allowed on the BRT. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be a rule breaker, but it seems that everywhere I go in Arkansas people have their trusty companions with them. Is this a "rule" that just goes un-enforced, or is it best to leave my pooch at home on this one. Any advice?
